The Group Hug (TGH) portrays the best and worst of society. Sadly during the 2020 lockdown, the number of people wanting to divorce or separate from their partners has soared. But while TGH is a website for them, it focuses on helping and supporting both halves of a couple during their biggest hour of need. Whether it is giving people the education and courage to leave an abusive relationship (physically or mentally), the information to do right by the children in a divorce or just to give them a friendly listening ear, TGH helps hundreds of UK residents every day. They also help with other complex emotional issues, such as bereavement and family matters, through a forum that members can join to ask questions and chat, and a directory service of legal professionals, divorce coaches and more.
Resin Marketing was asked to help grow awareness and users numbers for TGH. To do this we set up a number of Google display campaigns, remarketing to visitors who have already visited the website, and using various demographic segmentations. We also have been running Facebook ads for TGH, using some of the great blog content on the site to do content marketing.
The results have been really impressive with monthly visitors increasing from 2K per month to 7K per month and climbing, though we still have lots of work to do to hit our targets.
